Same with writing and image generation. It can give you ideas or handle little details like making sure all your commas are in the right place, the formatting is cohesive, and that you used the right your / you’re, or filling in grass or sky textures in the background or putting a bit of polish on a finished image but it definitely requires some editing to get a truly cohesive final result.

I bet this actually meant a lot to him. Sometimes it’s hard to remember “oh yeah I’m actually meeting those goals I set years ago.”
I’m still borderline, I still have chronic suicidal ideation, especially when something pops into my head that was dumb even as far back at middle school. But then sometimes I’m like "oh wait remember 10 years ago in the state hospital when you were like “I bet I could do this better” and now you’ve been a nurse for five years and working in mental health for 10 and this job asked if you wanted to be their crisis deescalation teacher for the location and respond to psych emergencies on the med units 6 months in? And one of those nurses says she worries less when you show up? Remember four years ago when you had a psychotic person in restraints who cleared up and wrote you a daisy nomination?
I feel like every once in a while this guy has to be reminded sir, you are an astronaut.
As a nurse who graduated in the middle of COVID (and was working in hospitals leading up to it), A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher was surprisingly healing read.
“You expect heroes to survive terrible things. If you give them a medal, then you don’t ever have to ask why the terrible thing happened in the first place. Or try to fix it.”

Imma Kinsey one-ish if you go by my birth / assigned gender (don’t really have much of one currently). #84 is closer to my needs than anything else here, but even that isn’t a really good fit.

Apytele@sh.itjust.worksto Memes@lemmy.ml•Deposits should be held by the city. The landlord should be forced to prove they deserve it in a court of law.61·2 months agoeh if I took up travel nursing I’d probably still want something similar to a house or apartment to rent for 3-6 months because most hotels aren’t really designed to be lived in that long but I also don’t want to buy a wholeass house then worry about selling it in 6 months. but that’s splitting hairs, at what point do you just call that an extended stay hotel? but also at what point does an extended stay hotel become a rental property?
but every time I hear a “property owner” complain about how hard and expensive it is to own other people’s homes I’m just like my guy no one is making you do that if it’s so damn hard just sell it to the person who lives there except deep down you realize how good of a deal you’re getting you’re just mad everybody isn’t acting like you’re not a prick for it.
My experience with the internet suggests that you are all but alone in that assertion. I was going to say I don’t know anything about that personally but Nick Wilde from zootopia did kind of get me (I’ve always had a soft spot for the trickster archetype).
Man this takes me back to highschool

I would be so much farther in life right now if I only knew how to keep my fat fucking mouth shut. There’s a reason the “strong silent type” is a trope. You might be a weird nervous awkward little fuck in there but nobody can prove it.
Fun fact! The reason you chant or burn a candle while brewing an herbal or other chemical infusion is because it helps you keep time so you can keep the strength consistent between brewing sessions when you don’t have access to a mechanical or digital timer! :)
